Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre is an excellent venue for events, conferences and exhibitions. The Sabarmati Ashram, Mahatma Gandhi’s residence and the colossal statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Indian freedom activist and the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Independent India are the two most significant places to visit. Adalaj Stepwell, the Calico Museum of Textiles and Bhadra Fort are some other interesting places to visit. Akshardham at Gandhinagar is a majestic temple with serene gardens. Indroda Nature Park is an intriguing expansive nature park with zoo, botanical garden and some fossils and sea mammal skeleton exhibits.
