Temple ruins: With 1500 year-old history of the Singh Deo dynasty, the temple ruins on the Panchet foothill are scattered around this place. Around 12-15 km from Garpanchkot, these terracotta temples belong to various architectural styles like Panchratna, Jor-Bangla and Pirha. Panchet Dam: Close to Garpanchkot, Panchet Dam was constructed a little above and across the confluence of Damodar and Barakar rivers. An earthen dam with a concrete conduit is of 148 ft. height. Mython Dam: Located at Mython in Jharkhand, Mython Dam is around 44 km and 45 min. drive from Garpanchkot. 165 ft. high and extending more than 15,000 ft., the dam is constructed on the Barakar river and spreads over 65 sq.km. A boat ride in the river amidst lush greenery is mesmerizing. You may also visit to Kalyaneshwari Temple, very close to Mython Dam. Joychandi Pahar: Around 20 km from Garpanchkot, Joychandi Pahar located on Purulia- Barakar road is a nearby attraction. With an elevation of 509 ft. it is popular tourist spot for rock climbing.
